Harriet Tubman @ Your Library!
We have a great program coming to the Library! On February 7th at 7 PM, join Ms. Rosie Chapman for a lively and interactive evening of stories about Harriet Tubman and the underground railroad.
Lego Mania
Due to technical difficulties (Mrs. Connors forgot to bring the camera) we haven’t seen any new pictures from our Legos Club meetings. We can’t let all those great creations go to waste! Take a look at the pictures at the right for some of our newest pics.
Our next Legos Day will be Saturday, February 4th from 3 – 4:30PM. Come join the fun!
Lego Club
Do you love Legos? Then check out the Library’s new Lego Club. Join us one Saturday each month for an afternoon of fun and creativity. We have 25 pounds of Lego blocks available for your building projects.
The first meeting of the Lego Club will be Saturday, October 1st from 3 – 4:30 PM. We will also meet on Nov. 12th and Dec. 10th. Although this activity is recommended for children ages 6 and up, younger children are welcome if they are supervised by an adult.
Animal Adaptations – Creatures of the Night!
Join us on Thursday, September 15th at 7:00 PM as the Organization for Bat Conservation brings us an exciting show featuring native Michigan nocturnal animals. This program includes an owl, bats and a flying squirrel. Fun for the whole family.
Last Blast of Summer
Summer Reading is over and the dog days of summer have arrived. Are you looking for something to do on these hot late summer days?
Come join us at the Library as we celebrate Last Blast Week in the children’s room from August 22nd to the 28th.
There will be loads of drop-in crafts and activities all week.
On Wednesday, there will be a drop-in storytime at 10:00 AM. Then in the afternoon from 2 – 3 PM, we will have a Game Blast with Library Bingo, board games, chess, Legos and more. Every child who completes a Book Bingo will receive a free book or book related prize.

Clowning Around @ Your Library
The Children’s Summer Reading Program for 2011 is winding down but the fun keeps coming! On Friday, July 29th at 3 PM the clowns from the Kelly Miller Circus will be paying us a visit. There will be a lot of clowning around in the Children’s Room so come join in.
Family Fun Day @ the Library
Join us at the Library on July 23rd from 12 – 4 pm for a great afternoon of fun for the whole family. There will be a bounce house, clowns, and games for the youngsters; the music group, A Rare Fish for the teens; Simply Bliss massage for Mom; and Dad can take a look at a Chevy Volt from Heidebreicht Chevrolet. You can even bring along a picnic. This afternoon of fun in the sun is sponsored by the Four County Community Foundation.

School’s Out – Summer’s Here!
It’s time to head to the Romeo District Library for great summer fun.
Our Summer Reading Club begins June 14th with a visit from Star Wars: 501st Legion @ 7PM. You’ll have an opportunity talk to and take photos with Darth Vader, Chewbacca, and a Storm Trooper. Or you can check out the shooting gallery and crafts.
Even if you can’t make it on Tuesday night, be sure to stop by soon. We have tons of fun waiting for you!
